Compatible and complimentary to each of Fike's fire alarm and fire suppression systems, VESDA® early warning smoke detection monitors the entire progression of a fire - easily detecting fire long before smoke is visible and long before any other forms of detection. With the world's widest sensitivity range, VESDA air monitoring produces multi-level warnings at the very early stage of an impending fire. This provides the valuable time necessary to initiate a flexible, appropriate response.

LaserPLUS

The LaserPLUS detector is the central element of the VESDA smoke detection product line. The LaserPLUS detects fire at the earliest possible stage and reliably measures very low to extremely high concentrations of smoke. The Cheetah Xi® control panel can be configured to communicate directly with one or more LaserPLUS detectors via a bi-directional, fully supervised communication with a High Level Interface (HLI). This configuration provides an integrated approach to system operation by providing each LaserPLUS air sampling detector the same functionality as a Cheetah Xi photo, ion, or heat detector

LaserSCANNER
The LaserSCANNER is similar to the standard LaserPLUS detector, but also includes a valve mechanism in the inlet manifold and software to control the airflow from the four VESDA sectors (pipes). This configuration enables a single VESDA zone to be divided into separate sectors, distinguishing between separate voids within a room. The LaserSCANNER locates the origin of smoke by identifying the first sector (pipe) with the highest level of smoke and then continues to sample from

LaserFOCUS
The VESDA LaserFOCUS Air Sampling Smoke Detector provides very early warning smoke detection performance for the protection of small, business-critical environments. Its unique design makes installation quick. Plus the product comes supplied with an easy, pre-engineered pipe network, making system design simple.
 
The LaserFOCUS is available in two models:
VLF 250 - covers up to 250 m² (2,500 ft²)
VLF-500 - covers up to 500 m² (5,000 ft²)

LaserCOMPACT™
While the LaserPLUS and LaserSCANNER address larger, more complex environments, the LaserCOMPACT offers a simple, cost effective solution for the protection of single and smaller environments such as, small archives, production machinery, ceiling voids, prison cells, wet benches, data storage cabinets and critical process tools. The LaserCOMPACT detector has been specifically designed to provide all the benefits of aspirating smoke detection for protection of areas up to 800 m² (8000 ft²) and has 3 configurable alarm levels.
